After recovery from his initial surgery and during his first round of treatment, Molly and her brother started fundraising and advocating for the LIVESTRONG Foundation. Over the next nine years, Molly and Jimmy raised over $250,000 for the Foundation to help people diagnosed with and affected by cancer. As a result, they received numerous national awards from the Foundation for grass roots fundraising. Despite his years of treatment and hospitalization, Jimmy achieved his dream of attending Stanford (Class of 2014). He passed away in February of 2014.
