This winter the Haas Center for Public Service is welcoming four Social Entrepreneurs in Residence at Stanford (SEERS) Fellows who are working to advance the social good in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Working with homeless teenagers, at risk youth, and vulnerable families, these social entrepreneurs are innovating public service delivery and advocacy efforts to make a difference in thousands of people's lives.
As part of the Program on Social Entrepreneurship – a partnership with the Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law and the Haas Center - these four SEERS Fellows are co-teaching a service learning course at Stanford where students have the opportunity to work on projects with the SEERS Fellows to launch fundraising campaigns, develop strategic plans, and design new programs. Students gain practical experience working for non-profit organizations and the SEERS Fellows build their organizational capacity.
