More

The Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC) is comprised of students of the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences committed to making the school a better environment by providing a forum for student concerns, promoting integration of the disciplines within the school, and developing programs that will benefit the greater Earth Sciences community.
As a committee, GSAC is a conduit between students of the school and the Dean. It provides a forum to keep the Dean
apprised of issues, opportunities and concerns that need to be addressed and to implement solutions to identified problems or concerns. The committee will function as one voice with separate representation from each department and program.
At the department level, GSAC is able to act as liaison to faculty, staff and students to discuss current issues and to encourage interaction among all members of the department. Student representatives from each department (Geological Sciences, Geophysics, Earth System Science and Energy Resources Engineering), the school’s interdisciplinary program (E-IPER) and co-terminal masters program (Earth Systems), are elected each spring for the following academic year.
