I have this app and so far I like it. To Developer please fix login issue. I am using it on an LG pad. I am a subscriber, when I login on the app it does not automatically unlock all the stories. When I select various stories I still have to re login each time I select a subscriber story. When I am logged in it keeps prompts me to start my free trail.

Scrolling / Ads -- Grrr The mobile screen is, er, just ok. Bounces around to load the ads. And then there's the update bug/feature... updating news on its own and downloading to the device the whole paper without asking.

Doesnt work without internet connection It says it downloads the days issue, but if you're on the subway or somewhere without an internet connection you can't read it. You need to fix that. Also it keeps asking me to log in for every article. What a horrible app. Get it together wsj!

Handy and faster, but I read the Journal daily in print or digital and this app makes that more efficient. Don't need all the photos and not having text for lead story is confusing. Assume WSJ readers want data not images.

The new version of this app is great! I suffered through years of all of the generations of the WSJ app and they finally have it right. They combined the traditional newspaper structure with all the features you expect from online services and it finally works! I can finally read without freezing screens, reboots or anything. Yeah!

Good content, poor app Downloaded Today's Newspaper doesn't download all articles and images for offline reading. Frustrating, especially for such an expensive app.

I dont give it a 5 (4.3) I love the app. Im really smart, i do a lot of math and science in my head. Por ejemplo, when asked to grade something on a scale---break down into variety of categories (usefulness, design, support, functionality, 'prettiness', etc), grade and obviously divide + human bias / 2. WSJ = 4.3 or 0.86345. . . Enjoy and discuss. . . I use it on a tablet (a lot). I can be camping in the middle of a swamp and get the daily issue. I guess its my data plan.

Meets expectations, but lacking features for the "true" news junkie This app has come a long way since its very first release. Gerard Baker and the development team have done an amazing job listening to their readers to give them what they want in their app. For the average user looking to get breaking news alerts or read articles on-the-fly, this app is fast and reliable. For the more advanced news junkie, this app is missing the ability to comment on articles (which is critical to maintain some level of interactivity within the app).

New version is even worse than the old one Lack of landscape mode makes it useless on a tablet. I'll give them a few days to fix it before I cancel my subscription. HOW DO I ROLL BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION? Update May 23, 2015: is it possible that this app gets worse with every "bug fix"? Today's update (3.3.0) is now crashing on me repeatedly, and not only does it STILL not have the much-awaited landscape mode, they've even stopped promoting it in their "coming soon" comments. THREE MONTHS LATER - long-promised landscape mode is still AWOL

The update made it worse Updated 8/21/2015. App is still horrible. I expect to open the app, and read the news. If there is not an Internet connection, I expect to be able to read the content on my phone. The app does not download the latest news reliably, and does not open the news reliably. I'm embarrassed to think how much I am paying WSJ every month to access a blank white screen. The NYT app works great. You should check it out.

Pretty good so far; debating cost. I enjoy the WSJ so naturally it's good to have it sent to me for reading on my phone. Don't use a tablet so can't speak to that. Agree with others that signing in for every article is a pain. If you must require for subscription purposes or to track use, even then if you made it a one-touch sign in it would be so much better. I think the phone layout is very appealing. Still weighing costs.

I have to Log In for every story This app is absolutely unusable in its current build on my galaxy s5. Every time I look to read an article, the app makes me log in again... and again... and again. You would think it would have enough memory to save my username and password at least when I have the app open, but no, every article- every time. Words cannot describe my dissatisfaction. P.S. I tried to email the developer with the address provided in the description, email was returned, WTF.
The Wall Street Journal Reader. Great app It's concise, easy to use, and allows access to the best source if news and analysis there is.

Was my favorite app for news... After "updates" a couple months ago, app won't keep me signed in or give access to downloaded version. Constantly logging in to read each article is terrible when wanting to read more than one or two articles (not to mention when wanting to read on plane). Subsequent updates have claimed to fix, but hasn't. Uninsalling entirely and reinstalling doesn't work as a fix. Timing on updates is slow and each one seems to make app worse from interface changes to how the Offline version works to login issues
Content not matched by software Cannot fault content and even if I did not have corporate account would consider personal subscription. The interface is also very user friendly. However the app requires me to log-in each time I want to view the locked articles. Major turn-off. The NYT app does not have his issue so gets more of my time.
