Committee on Graduate Studies (C-GS)

C-GS formulates policy governing the substance and process of graduate education, including dissertation committees, joint degree programs, candidacy issues, and the academic calendar. C-GS is also charged to review graduate interdisciplinary programs (IDPs) in order to recommend renewals or (rarely) discontinuation of the IDPs and to receive proposals for new IDPs.
