Areas of expertise: Federal climate and energy regulation, state clean energy policy, environmental justice, low-income clean energy, carbon pollution from the power sector

As part of EDF’s Climate and Energy team, Charlie works to decarbonize the power sector and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon energy economy through federal and state policy advocacy.

Charlie provides targeted research and collaborates with partners on the ground to defend existing regulatory frameworks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance new opportunities to mitigate climate change, with a focus on environmental justice and solutions for low-income and other disadvantaged communities.

Background

Prior to becoming a Program Associate, Charlie joined EDF in July 2016 as a Stanford Schneider Fellow to advance equitable and effective implementation of low-income clean energy programs under the Clean Power Plan. Charlie received his B.S. in Engineering Physics from Stanford University.
