Areas of expertise: Federal environmental and energy regulation, the Clean Air Act, greenhouse gas emissions from the power sector.

As part of EDF’s Climate Legal and Regulatory Program, Martha Roberts works to support climate change mitigation and secure clean air through policy initiatives and strategic litigation.

Martha collaborates with states, businesses, public health organizations and other allies to advocate for and defend efficient policies to curb emissions that are destabilizing the climate and harming human health, with a particular focus on emissions from the power sector.

Background

Martha joined EDF in September 2015 after serving as an appointee at the Environmental Protection Agency. While at EPA, Martha worked on regulatory and policy matters related to the power sector and oil and gas development. Martha previously clerked for the Hon. Carlos F. Lucero on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
