  • *TW: Hello! I’m looking to meet folks who would like to contribut...e to SafeBridge, a natural language processing platform designed to help survivors of sexual assault understand, process, and validate their experiences in a safe space. We were named a Top 8 Finalist out of over 50 teams at the recent Stanford Health++ Hackathon, and are looking forward to building our prototype next year with new team members. Click the link below for a full description: https://devpost.com/software/safebridge Significant barriers to accurate and personalized sexual assault screening undermine the agency of the individual to pursue recovery, normalize social acceptance of sexual violence, and lead to higher rates of long-term mental health problems. We hope that our idea of leveraging natural language processing in the form of an unbiased, non-human assistant, can help solve this problem by encouraging intimate and honest disclosure of the user’s stories, and providing appropriate feedback and information to help the user build a plan of action. This will be a unique and highly impactful application of artificial intelligence to address a very important social issue. We are building a team of students, engineers, social workers, medical professionals, and other allies in this space. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a project that has a very important social mission, but is also technologically challenging and exciting. We will have introductory meetings on December 10th and December 19th before the holidays, so please fill out this form if you are interested in attending and learning more (no commitment required!): https://goo.gl/forms/RqbNsoE3A4HKYMAE3 Thanks very much, Ariane See More

We are so thankful that @yoga_steward leads our community in healing through yoga ✨ @yoga_steward with @repostapp. ・・・ "If we go into a darkened room and turn on the light, it doesn't matter if the room has been dark for a day, or a week, or ten thousand years-we turn on the light and it is illuminated." - Sharon Salzberg Started another session of Yoga as Healing for survivors of sexual assault. 12 brave souls came ready to heal, ready to reclaim their bodies, ready to turn on that light. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to sit with others and witness their healing. It's a messy process but it's a beautiful messiness that culminates in healing and owning our bodies. So powerful. So grateful. 󾍘 #sexualassaultawarenessmonth #mindbodyconnection #healingtrauma #mindfulness #breathe #move #connect #yoga #yogaeverydamnday #healing #survivor #socialwork #solidarity #iloveyou
