The 22 year-old man damaged his nose in a traffic accident in August two thousand and twelve but failed to seek treatment. This lead to an infection, meaning surgeons were unable to save his nose. Instead, in a medical first, they've grown a new one on his forehead, using exisitng skin and cartilege from one of his ribs.
