Fraud, Waste & Abuse Hotline

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) investigates fraud, waste, or abuse involving:

  • federal student aid funds
  • lending institutions and collection agencies
  • Department of Education funds or programs (and funding recipients)
  • contractors or employees

Anyone having such knowledge should contact us. Complaints may be submitted anonymously via the online complaint form, facsimile or U.S. Postal mail.
