About

Will sees the world as an ecosystem of ideas and expressions. He is curious in how the design process can make meaning and release potential in people, places, and things.

He draws from experiences including;  2012 Watson Fellow and National Geographic Young Explorer, where he designed and built traditional canoe arts with native masters around the planet. He has been an aid worker and innovator in West Africa, as well as an entrepreneur ( in retail, consulting, and real estate) a sculptor, writer, ecologist and a craftsman.

At Stanford he is interested in understanding how design can reinvent processes, turn ideas into realities, expresses identity and culture,  create spaces for innovation and thought, as well as unfold aesthetic.
