Celebrating Sustainability

Join Office of Sustainability and more than 30 campus partners for the annual Celebrating Sustainability Activity Fair on April 19, from 11-1pm at Ford Plaza! This annual Earth Day celebration will feature numerous activities and demonstrations for energy, water, transportation, waste, food and sustainable living. Open to staff, faculty and students, the fair provides lunch, activities, and entertainment to all those who wish to learn more about sustainability at Stanford.

Meditation For All

Come and meditate with us! We will begin with a few minutes of settling and discussing the practice. We will then sit for twenty minutes, with gentle guidance for less experienced practitioners. Those with their own established practices are welcome to ignore the guidance and simply do their thing. After twenty minutes there will be an opportunity to debrief and share anything that arose during the practice.

Autism Spectrum Disorders Update: Understanding the Puzzle

A one-day conference for parents, educators and care providers of children with an autism spectrum disorder. This annual update will focus on new research, therapies and insights to living with autism.

Assistive Technology Faire

The Assistive Technology Faire provides an opportunity for students and community members to get an up-close look at a variety of devices and learn about available programs from product vendors and service agencies. Stanford Medicine | AIF Symposium

We have received significant interest in the March 8 event, in addition to several recent ideas for how to expand the symposium for even greater impact. We are therefore postponing the symposium until October 14, 2016.

Nutrition for Action - Action for Results

Do you have a solid exercise routine but you are not seeing results? Come explore how food and exercise should work together. While the answer to losing weight and getting healthier is technically "eat less and move more" - it is not necessarily eat very little and workout a lot. The key is to find that balance.

In this class, you will learn how to fuel your workouts properly to lose weight, build muscle, burn fat and workout appropriately so every minute at the gym is used efficiently.
