Dean's Lecture: Emma Walmsley, CEO, GlaxoSmithKline

Emma Walmsley has been GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) CEO since April 2017. Since becoming CEO, Emma has focused GSK's three businesses (Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines, and Consumer Healthcare) around three long-term priorities: Innovation, Performance, and Trust, underpinned by a culture change. Most recently, GSK announced a new approach to R&D, focusing on science related to the immune system, the use of genetics and investments in advanced technologies. Emma co-chairs the Consumer, Retail and Life Sciences Council, a business advisory group for the U.K. Government, and is an Honourary Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
