E-IPER Joint MS students gain access to a vibrant community of scholars, practitioners, and collaborators working across boundaries to explore problems and apply integrated solutions to challenging issues.

Each Joint MS student is assigned to an advising team consisting of an E-IPER faculty advisor and an E-IPER PhD student, who are selected for their expertise and knowledge of courses and content related to the Joint MS student's area of interest. The advising team assists the student in developing a cohesive and rigorous MS course of study and Capstone Project. Students and advisors are encouraged to review the Joint MS Advising Guidelines to understand the process and review expectations.

Students are expected to engage with faculty advisors and program staff at least twice per year to seek input and review degree progress.
