In January 2014, EdCareers launched a survey to over 8,000 Stanford Graduate School of Education (GSE) alumni. Our goal was to establish a comprehensive snapshot of our alumni and the impact they have as education scholars, leaders, practitioners and entrepreneurs.
We heard from over 48% of contacted alumni, an unprecedented response rate for this type of survey.
Below are some highlights from the report:
80% (2,183) of all employed alumni respondents reported working in the field of education
(in 1,356 organizations across 52 different countries).
64% of all alumni respondents reported holding at least one leadership position, outside of their professional duties.
50% of PhD alumni respondents who were employed full-time reported holding faculty positions at institutions of higher education.
