Federal and State Education Policy

To achieve high quality and equitable education systems, national and state policy must comprehensively and strategically: 1) support meaningful learning for students and teachers and 2) equalize access to educational opportunity by enabling all students to succeed in effective schools. The work in this topic area is produced to inform and improve pressing federal and state education policy by understanding what works and why across policy areas ranging from principal preparation to international teaching policy to student performance assessment to teacher salaries.
