Academic Programs

Centro Weekly Study Nights

Every Sunday evening, a different student organization "hosts" Study Nights by bringing snack to share with the community. Students stop by to grab a late night snack and connect with other students. Students come in to work on group projects, ask questions about problem sets or work on their writing assignments.

Chican@ Latin@ Community Awards Banquet

In spring quarter join us to celebrate the academic, community service and other accomplishments of Stanford's Latino students, staff and faculty. The Porras Awards for Visionary Leadership, Rosaldo Award for Cultural Citizenship, and Galarza and Islas Prizes for graduate and undergraduate research are presented as well as individual recognition of students who have achieved outstanding GPAs. A keynote speaker, usually a prominent Chicano/Latino policy-maker, scholar, artist and/or social activist, then gives a lecture to conclude the event.

Nuestra Graduación

Nuestra Graduación is an annual event held by the Latino community at Stanford, in conjunction with the traditional Stanford Commencement, to celebrate the achievements of the Latino graduating class.

Celebrate your success over the course of these four years with your family and friends. Participate in the morning’s mass (optional), the Nuestra Graduación Ceremony, as well as the delicious banquet.
