The U.S. Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources held a confirmation hearing for Franklin M. "Lynn" Orr and other White House nominees on Dec. 12 in Washington, D.C.

Orr, director of the Precourt Institite for Energy, has been nominated as under secretary of science in the U.S. Department of Energy. 

A video of the hearing has been posted on the Senate committee website. The video is 2 hours and 23 minutes long and includes confirmation hearings for three other federal nominees: Jonathan Elkind (assistant secretary of energy), Rhea Suh (assistant secretary of fish, wildlife and parks) and Tommy Boudreau (assistant secretary of the interior).
