Joining the Student Advisory Board

The Handa Center Student Advisory Board (SAB) was established early on to help shape the Center's priorities and programming. The SAB members provide insight and feedback about student interests and needs related to human rights both on and off campus. Currently the SAB has three sub-committees to support Handa Center strategic planning: Communications and Human Rights Resources; Community Service; and Career Pathways in Human Rights. It has been and remains a top priority of the Center to build programs in a way that is responsive to the needs of our student community – we exist because of and for you!

If you are interested in joining the Handa Center Student Advisory Board, please email Handa Center Program Manager Jessie Brunner at jbrunner@stanford.edu

Other Student Groups

If you want to be involved in the Handa Center's student community more broadly without the commitment of the board, you might consider joining our Handa Humans group, which includes discrete opportunities to attend special seminars, volunteer for Handa Center activities, or simply socialize with an interdisciplinary group of students broadly interested in human rights topics. Please sign up here and express your interest in joining the Handa Humans list.
