Mario Pamplona, Operations Manager for Library Privileges at Stanford Libraries, has published a new LibGuide highlighting University Archives collection materials supporting research into the Chicana/o-Latina/o community at Stanford University.

As usual, Mario is effusive in his praise for other contributors to the effort. "Working on this Libguide was fruitful and hopefully illuminates at least some of the hard work the Chicana/o and Latina/o community has accomplished at Stanford University. Thank you to Adan Griego, Everado Rodriguez, Ignacio Ornelas Rodriguez, Roberto Trujillo, Professor Al Camarillo, and Elvira Prieto, for their wonderful suggestions and feedback. And as always, it was great working with Josh and Presley!"

The new guide complements an existing guide to Latin American Studies developed by Adan Griego and Everado Rodriguez, and a guide on Latinx and Education developed by Kathy Kerns, showcasing a broad range of resources supporting research into Latino/a/x history at Stanford Libraries.

The guide follows on the heels of the Black Students at Stanford guide developed and published by Mario earlier this summer, and aligns with the Archives' commitment to prioritize the acquisition, processing, and promotion of materials by and about historically marginalized communities.

We are very grateful to Mario for all of his past efforts, and look forward to future collaborations with Libraries staff to promote discovery and access of collection materials aligned with IDEAL efforts at the Libraries and the University.
