Community of Practice: Application Support

SUL colleagues,

I wanted to make you aware of a new Community of Practice forming called Application Support that’s coming to a conference room near you! The Community is being led by a mix of schools and organizations:

We are currently 26 people (and growing!) from the School of Medicine, Graduate School of Business, School of Humanities and Sciences, Residential & Dining Enterprises, Stanford University Libraries, Administrative Systems, and IT Services. We are a community focused on the support of applications used at Stanford - including both commercial off the shelf applications and custom built applications.

Conversations could include application selection, user management, integration, operational support, authentication, security, best practices, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, reporting, training, vendor relations, product management, licensing, enhancements, gathering business requirements, metrics, monitoring, and so much more!

We are planning a kickoff on Tuesday, July 29th from 2:00-3:00pm in Redwood Hall room G19.

If you know of others that might be interested, please SPREAD THE WORD! Please forward this email and ask your friend/colleague to subscribe to the list and come to the kick off meeting!
