Jerry Alabastro, new SUL Facilities Mailroom Manager

I am pleased to announce the hiring of our new Mailroom Manager, Jerry Alabastro to the SUL Facilities team. Jerry joined us just before Winter Break 2014.

Prior to accepting this position, Jerry served as the Lead Manager for the US Postal Service in charge of mail distribution throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, a career path that started with the Post Office 18 years ago. Jerry brings this valuable experience and a proven track record of success in this area, which will be invaluable in meeting our departmental goals and objectives.

Jerry’s main responsibility is managing the mailroom staff and operations that serve SUL out of the Green East Library. This also includes coordination of collections moves and managing our vehicle and bicycle use programs. With his understanding of deliveries, Jerry will be tasked to continue our efficiencies in mailroom operations as some of our units move into new homes in the upcoming years.
