Tours of the Stanford University Libraries are offered year-round, with special orientation tours for incoming students at the beginning of each academic year. Other special tours include Parents' Weekend, which usually happen in February, and Admit Weekend, which happen in April.

Parents' weekend

Green Library tours

Green Library is the largest library on campus, and is home to the main humanities and social science collections, the Information Center, the Media & Microtext Center, Special Collections and University Archives, and many other central library services and resources. Tours of Green Library will begin at the Bing Wing entrance of the library, facing the Main Quad.

  • Friday, Feb. 26 from 11 am to 12 noon
  • Saturday, Feb. 27 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm

Lathrop Library & East Asia Library tours

This tour will feature several of the unique study and library areas of Lathrop Library, home to the Tech Lounge and the East Asia Library. The tour will visit the first and second floors of Lathrop, which feature flexible classrooms, soft seating, group study spaces, create:space (a makerspace), the Tech Desk, the 24-Hour Study Space, the East Asia Library stacks and quiet individual study areas.
