Manning's Last Words (as ACL President)

Chris Manning, who was president of the Association for Computational Linguistics last year, recently published a "Last Words" feature in Computational Linguisticswith reflections on deep learning and the place of linguistics in the newest wave of NLP research. This article is a version of the Presidential Address that he gave at the 53rd ACL meeting in Beijing last July.
