20th Anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act
On October 28, 2000, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act was signed into law. This Act provided the framework and resources to help combat human trafficking and ensure services for victims.

Attorney General Barr Announces Funding to Tribal Communities
On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, Attorney General Barr announced more than $295 million to improve public safety, serve victims of crime and support youth programs in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Approximately $118 million of that funding will be administered by the Office for Victims of Crime.

National Elder Fraud Hotline
To help combat fraud against older Americans and provide services to victims, OVC supports the National Elder Fraud Hotline. Call 833–FRAUD–11 (833–372–8311) to receive help from a hotline case manager.

OVC TTAC supports the field through customized technical assistance, online trainings, the National Victim Assistance Academy, and more.
New Grants and Payment Management Systems Now Available!
The Justice Grants System (JustGrants) and the Department of the Treasury’s Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) are now available for all award management and payment activities. Award recipients with the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) can login to JustGrants or visit the informational website for further resources and support. Additionally, ASAP is now available for enrolled Department of Justice award recipients to request funds. For more information on how to request funds in ASAP, please reference the user guide.
