Edmund Ironside, King of England, died in 1016. His staunch resistance to Danish invasions prevented Cnut becoming king over all of England until after Edmund's death. Rumours abounded he was murdered, as is vividly shown here in the 15thC St Alban's Chronicle. [MS 6]

Dear , Thank you for your letter. From the very first sentence to the very last, it is a tissue of revisionism, wilful misdirection, false equivalences, and downright lies. You have a lot of bloody gall writing this to me. 1/

The Staffordshire Hoard is made up of over 4,000 fragments, approx a third of which are now known to come from a single, very high-status helmet. The hilt fittings also show evidence of over 90 swords. This 7th century treasure is mostly made up of beautiful and deadly war gear.
