When I-485 applicants file Forms I-765 and I-131 at the same time, we often adjudicate the I-765 first. If approved, we issue an Employment Authorization Document without any notation about the advanced parole application. We will then adjudicate the Form I-131 separately.

it took 10 months to get my i-131. it’s only valid for next 12 months. i will need to apply for renewal again in few months. validity for ap must be increased to 2-3 years especially for highly backlogged i485 countries.

It would have been much easier if both i-765 and I-131 have been approved at the same time and issues as a combo card. In most of the cases, USCIS does issue combo but there are many cases where only I-765 is issued and I-131 is pending.

I765 & I 131 should get processed together. I have waited for 11 months for my I131 approval before it got abandoned due to my family emergency travel. You denied my expedited request and emergency request for I 131 approval and my mother passed within 2 weeks of my I131 denial.

- Does not make sense that processing I765 and I131 separately for I485 applicants saves you time. The information in both these forms are very similar, and an officer who reviews them together will certainly be saving you time overall, instead of when reviewed separately.
