Pre-Orientation Programs

Students invited to attend the following pre-orientation programs will need to register in advance for them. These programs will conclude by September 15, 2015, so that you can participate fully in NSO. If you are eligible to attend any of these programs, you will receive more information with registration instructions and deadlines during the summer. Overview of Pre-Orientation Programs

International Student Orientation (ISO): Saturday, September 12 to Tuesday, September 15, 2015

All new international students for whom the Bechtel International Center issues immigration documents are expected to attend the three-day ISO. Students will need to register by checking the ISO registration box on Form #6 (Housing Preference Form) of your Approaching Stanford Forms. U.S. citizens and permanent residents living abroad may request to attend but are not required. Eligible students will receive additional information in June with their immigration documents. More information will be posted as it becomes available on the Bechtel International Center website.

ISO check-in will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, at the Bechtel International Center.

Stanford Native Immersion Program: Thursday, September 10 to Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Information and registration forms will be sent to eligible students during the summer. For more information, contact the Native American Cultural Center/American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian Program (NACC/AIANNHP).

Stanford Pre-Orientation Trips (SPOT): Wednesday, September 9 to Tuesday, September 15, 2015

SPOT is open to any freshman or transfer student who is not required to participate in ISO, but space is limited and admittance to SPOT is on a lottery basis for those who apply by the stated deadline.
