The Tibetan Language Program at Stanford offers Beginning and Intermediate courses in Tibetan. First-year Tibetan is taught on Stanford campus by Tibetan Language Program Coordinator, Robert Clark. Second-year Tibetan is a distance learning course offered in cooperation with University of California, Berkeley. First-Year Tibetan
Students learn grammar, reading, and composition while exploring Tibetan culture and the Tibetan view of reality.

Intermediate Tibetan
A Distance Learning Collaboration with UC Berkeley, Intermediate Tibetan is designed to further develop the student's skills in modern standard Tibetan. There is a gradual increase in emphasis on basic cultural readings and developing intercultural competence. Note: Stanford students are encouraged to participate in the optional grammar review from August 27 to September 21. The mandatory session begins on 9/22/15.
