Biography

Athena Serapio joined Water in the West in August 2014 as the program coordinator. She organizes and coordinates the program’s workshops, uncommon dialogues and special events. In addition, she manages day to day office support and collaborates with staff in communication, development and research efforts. She strives to support Water in the West’s mission to design, articulate and advance sustainable water management for the people and environment of the American West.

Before joining Water in the West, Athena worked at the Stanford Biology department. She has experience in planning and coordinating conferences, trade shows and meetings. She also worked as a senior contract administrator at the University of California, Irvine.

She holds a BA in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from San Diego State University.
