On March 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. ET, BJA will host the 2016 Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Solicitation Webinar, which will review the eligibility, goals, requirements, considerations, and more associated with the BWC funding opportunity for agencies with more than 25 sworn officers.
BJA is seeking applications through the Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Training and Technical Assistance Program. This program provides cross-system technical assistance to Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) grantees. Applications are due May 17, 2016.
BJA has released the National Crime Gun Intelligence Center Initiative solicitation. The focus of this effort is to create and sustain Crime Gun Intelligence Centers in two jurisdictions that produce timely and actionable information focusing the efforts of its partners—including police, prosecutors, and forensic experts—on identifying criminal activity and perpetrators. Applications are due May 3, 2016.
BJA is seeking applications through the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program. This program leads efforts to enhance the capacity of local and tribal communities to effectively target and address significant crime issues through collaborative cross-sector approaches that help advance broader neighborhood development goals. Applications are due May 12, 2016.
BJA is seeking applications through the Price of Justice: Rethinking the Consequences of Justice Fines and Fees grant program for direct grants to units of state and local government and federally recognized Indian tribes and for a cooperative award to a technical assistance provider. Applications are due May 12, 2016.
BJA is seeking applications for the FY 2016 Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. This program provides resources to plan, implement, and enhance prescription drug monitoring programs to prevent and reduce misuse and abuse of prescription drugs and aid in investigations of pharmaceutical crime. Applications are due by April 26, 2016.
