FOIA requests
The
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a law that enables members of the public
to request documents from the government. The Privacy Act also provides
individuals a means by which to request access to records about them.
Expected timeframe
Processing time varies with the request’s complexity. However, the CFPB will make every attempt to provide a response within the timeframes outlined in the FOIA statute.
