Hoover Tower is a 285ft structure on the campus of Stanford University in Stanford, California. The tower houses the Hoover Institution Library and Archives, an archive collection founded by Herbert Hoover before he became President of the United States. Hoover had amassed a large collection of materials related to early 20th century history; he donated them to Stanford, his alma mater, to found a "library of war, revolution and peace". Hoover Tower also houses the Hoover Institution research center and think tank.Hoover Tower, inspired by the cathedral tower at Salamanca, was finished in 1941, the year of Stanford's 50th anniversary. It was designed by architect Arthur Brown, Jr.The first nine floors of the tower are library stacks and the next three floors are used for offices. Exiled Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn lived on the 11th floor for some time upon invitation by Stanford University before he moved in 1976.Hoover Tower receives approximately 200 visitors per day, and a nominal fee is charged for non-students or non-faculty. The observation deck platform is 250ft above the ground, and provides an expansive view of the Stanford University campus and surrounding area. On clear days it is possible to see all the way to the distant skyline of San Francisco. The tower's observation deck is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but closed during academic breaks and finals.
I liked the campus. It was too quite due to the holiday week around Christmas. I wish to see the campus again once students are back from vacation. I would have given it 5 but during my visit with my young kids, who needed to use bathrooms could not only use the library bathrooms but the direction we were provided with had no open bathrooms. I met many other families with small children who were disappointed like us, due to the lack of open and operating bathrooms.

Anderson Collection is AMAZING! Pollock! Rothko! Clifford Still! Robert Motherwell! Frank Stella! To name a few. I was blown away by the collection, and architecture of the building works really well with the display, lighting of the work, navigating around. I was there for a symposium and the speakers who were invited were very interesting. Anderson Collection serves as a research center as well as a beautiful museum. For the art lover it's a treat!

This review is for computer center (Kevin the sales associate) at the Stanford bookstore. For the faculty appreciate sale there was sale for computer and after a lot of back and forth I realized I wouldn't be able to pick up my computer as promised. So needless to say I was very angry. This was Friday, fast forward Monday, Kevin from the computer center, was very patient, soft spoken and calm as I was explaining how frustrated I was. He worked with me to resolve the issue. Also he's just a great sales associate !! Definitely ask for Kevin if you ever need help. Took off one star because of the bookstores unorganized pre order sale.
Friendly confines and close proximity to the field. Every seat is a good seat and every seat has a seat back which is very appreciated. The concourse is a great area to get out of direct sunlight if needed and still see game from any vantage point. Concessions are throughout the stadium as are the public bathrooms which are many and clean. The only suggestion is that the family plan seats in the South Endzone are only on second deck and this makes it difficult for the elderly who need to park in the handicap zone in the south end to make the climb up the stairs. The North end has seating available for family ticket holders in both lower and upper sections but the walk is long for those who need extra help. It would be nice to have the lower section also available for family plan members in South end to make it more convenient for those needing the extra help and not making them climb the stairs
Bachata at the beach!I loved it! Great instruction! And great atmosphere! However I wish the instructor was elevated levels on a stage, cannot see how to follow along when crowded. Or if stage is not available take it to the sand form a larger circle. Or allow anyone to watch but for those who want to participate assign groups like group a, b, c, etc. And alternate them in and out so it doesn't get too packed on the dance floor and dancers participating can see the instructor more easily.
