So much data, so little time...
A haunting look at what it's like to live with epidermoloysis bullosa – and what researchers here are doing to combat the devastating skin disease.

Thanks again to David Lowenberg in saving my left ankle after getting hit in 2013. I actually took up cross country skiing in 2016 , it may be painful at times but "no pain no gain" Great Doctor!!!

It was an incredibly wonderful event which we will remember for the rest of our lives. All the future to be doctors were full of energy. The gathering with the ...dean of the Stanford Medical school, parents and students was very informative and a great learning experience. The nice weather completed the event with flying colors. Thank you Stanford University for allowing us to have this great opportunity and to open the road to our son Francisco to become in the future a great doctor. See More

I toured the school in July and was welcomed by the most friendly people imaginable. I got to talk to doctors who are practicing in the field of medicine as well as prospective students and first-year students. Beautiful campus, very welcoming atmosphere. I'll see you in admissions ;)

I had a great first impression of Stanford. But on the second appointment, which i arrived almost 40 minutes early for due to light traffic, i was kept waiting ...45 minutes beyond my appointment time for a cancer related appointment. I finally walked out. Screw 'em. If they can't run their Oncology department better than that, I don't need them. And if their doctors think they can treat people that way, they are going to find out the hard way they are sadly mistaken. See More

Elixir of Eternal Life!

The president of Kazakhstan has asked scientists to invent an elixir of eternal life. He is 70 years old and feels great, having governed for 20 years with an iron hand a country the size of Western Europe, and nothing can stop him from doing that for the next ten years, according to La Stampa, indicating that the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has recently asked how can he manage to remain loved by almost the entire population of his country.

"I saw the results of an independent survey, which states that 92% of the Kazakhs love and respect him!"-Berlusconi exclaimed, with envy.

But like any powerful leader, Nursultan Nazarbayev cannot control one thing: time irreversible transition, more specifically, life and death. Thus, in a speech at a university in Astana, Nazarbayev urged the scientists of the new research institute in Kazahstan to study the "rejuvenation of the body" and "human genome, the production of human tissues and the creation of gene-based drugs."

The leader from Astana expressed his desire saying that: "People my age hope that this will happen as soon as possible". Some months ago, at a meeting of the governmental Commission for science and research, he had set the task to "ïnvent a remedy against old age and to develop methods for natural rejuvenation and immortality."
