About the Management Board
The ACT Management Board is an operational board, not an advisory board. ACT Management Board members are thinkers and doers. Each Management Board member has a functional area of responsibility and is committed to making ACT the best possible pro bono consulting experience for GSB alumni and our nonprofit clients. This takes considerable time and effort, but we think it’s worth it to sustain this continually improving premier pro bono consulting organization. The Management Board term is two years, with the maximum service six years; our year begins in September and ends in August. Meetings are held 6:30-9:00 pm the second Wednesday of every month on campus.
About the Client Development Committee
The Head of Client Development is looking for an alumna/us to work with him to bring high-impact, effective and appealing nonprofit clients to ACT. Work will include research and direct outreach if desired. This position could be for as short as 2-3 months or longer if interested.
About the Project Screening Committee
The ACT Project Screening Committee consists of experienced ACT volunteers (typically those who’ve participated in five ACT projects or have gained exposure to the nonprofit sector in other ways) who live in and screen projects in the regions where ACT provides service: Peninsula, South Bay,East Bay, North Bay, SF. We are a collegial group who work independently under the leadership of the Head of Project Screening, a Management Board member. Once per year we gather in person to discuss best practices and make adjustments to our processes, and twice per year, during each project cycle, we connect via phone. Project Screening member terms are flexible.
