Teaching Statement

Sadiq Gillani teaches MKTG 534: "The Travel and Airline Industry" with Harikesh Nair at the Graduate School of Business. He is the Chief Strategy Officer of Lufthansa Group, the world's largest aviation group. He is recognised as one of the airline industry's leading experts, having delivered the first ever TED Talk on the airline industry and serving on the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council for Travel.

Bio

Sadiq Gillani has been the Chief Strategy Officer for Lufthansa Group since 2011. He is responsible for Corporate Strategy, Portfolio Strategy, Innovation, Business Development and Sustainability. He was previously the Chief Commercial Officer of a startup Brazilian low cost carrier based in Rio de Janeiro and has a decade of consulting experience. He was a Partner with Seabury, a boutique airline consultancy, in Sydney and New York, advising airline clients across the world, including Qantas, Air Canada, US Airways, Malaysia Airlines and Etihad. He started his consulting career at Bain & Company in London and Johannesburg. He also supported with the launch of two startup airlines in the United States.
He is a keen traveller, having visited over 115 countries and lived on 6 continents.
