Iowa football fans start heartwarming tradition: Waiving to children’s hospital
University of Iowa fans kicked off a new tradition while cheering their team to victory on Saturday. At the end of the first quarter, the entire crowd of 70,000 stood up, turned around and waived at the young patients across the street at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which overlooks the football stadium.
