Stanford Moyamoya Center, Experience in Care

Tara MacInnes endured years of childhood migraines and, finally, something far worse. The cause: an often misdiagnosed cerebrovascular disease called moyamoya. A decade after treatment at the Stanford Moyamoya Center, MacInnes is a passionate advocate for broader knowledge of moyamoya. MacInnes has started a petition to make World MoyaMoya Day a globally recognized day of awareness each year on May 6.
