EPA staff collected dust wipe samples on April 17, 2014, on residential properties near the fenceline of KCBX North and South Terminals. Two dust samples were collected at each location: one was analyzed for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and one analyzed for trace metals and minerals.

On July 1, 2014, EPA staff collected a second set of dust wipe samples at public parks between one and three miles away from the KCBX terminals for comparison to fenceline sites.
