Stanford Pride is the only Stanford LGBT alumni group that spans across all alumni of the university, including undergraduate and graduate programs. It is our goal to provide opportunities for alumni to engage with their Stanford community through a variety of programs, including academic lectures and panels, regional networking events, and Homecoming weekend activities.
Since 1994, Stanford Pride has funded an annual fellowship for at least one undergraduate student interested in pursuing an internship with an LGBT-related organization or cause. This fellowship supports Stanford students as they explore ways of promoting activism within LGBT communities in the U.S. and around the world. Working with the Haas Center for Public Service, Stanford Pride offers the opportunity for students to complete these projects while providing compensation on behalf of organizations who may not otherwise be able to support an internship program.
Where do your donations go?
We rely on our members’ donations to support the Stanford Pride fellowship each year, along with all of our alumni programs, activities, and events. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so all the money we raise gets invested back into our community. Members of the Board of Directors volunteer their time to support the Pride fellowship, expand Pride membership, organize Pride activities, and provide Pride members with an active alumni community.
