STANFORD, Calif. - No. 13 Stanford continues its five game home stand Sunday as it sets to host Vanderbilt. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
The Cardinal (3-1) is rolling off a 13-4 win Saturday afternoon against the Harvard Crimson. Allie DaCar was amazing for Stanford, tying a career-high with 14 saves of the 18 shots she faced for a phenomenal .778 save percentage to earn MPSF Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Cardinal’s opponent, the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-1) travel west to take on Stanford before facing another MPSF team, Denver, next Wednesday. Last time out the Commodores topped Elon 15-5 with Jill Doherty netting a hat trick in the win.
Last year the Cardinal traveled to Nashville, Tenn. where it topped Vanderbilt 22-11. In Coach Amy Bokker’s tenure, Stanford has posted a 3-3 record.
