LA JOLLA, Calif. – No. 37 Stanford wrapped up competition Sunday at the 127th Pacific Coast Doubles tournament.
Tom Fawcett and Maciek Romanowicz headlined the Cardinal’s performances, reaching the finals of the main draw, bettering their semifinal appearance from last season.
The Pacific Coast Doubles tournament is the second-oldest tennis event in the United States. The event includes players from 19 schools, in addition to teaching professionals, juniors, college coaches, former tour players and independent entrants competing in the 128-team draw. Stanford has produced two of the last six champions, with Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher taking home the hardware in 2011 and 2012.
