    I know of a guy who stuck his hand in a canister of liquid nitrogen. He had a glove on but it was ripped, the nitrogen got into the glove and burned his hand. After a year or so of physical therapy he recovered some of the functionality in his hand but not all (he still had trouble moving it). Though this is different than pouring in on you like what the specialist did.
