From Northjersey.com: A bipartisan pair of New Jersey congressmen made a pitch Tuesday to save the federal deduction for state and local taxes, a write-off that helps make the Garden State more affordable that would be sharply curtailed in the overhaul of the tax code President Trump wants to sign by Christmas.

From the Daily Record: Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton Twp.) said during a Monday telephone town hall that he would continue to oppose the tax reform bill he voted against last month in the House of Representatives, and is now on its way back from the Senate in altered form for final passage.

Congressman Lance hosted his 43rd telephone town hall meeting Monday evening from his desk in Washington, D.C. Lance spoke to 3,500 participants about issues before Congress and the current debate over tax reform.

Bristol earned his Eagle Court of Honor in Flemington on Saturday. Congressman Lance attended the ceremony and commended Bristol on earning 21 merit badges through the Boy Scouts of America.
