House Description

Location: The Row (Map showing Storey)

Storey House is an undergraduate resident theme house for Human Biology, devoted to developing an intellectual community among student interested in Human Biology topics at Stanford. Our house works to integrate the interests of students with a variety of different majors. In addition to exploration of human biology subjects, our theme house also collaborates with other themed houses on the row to facilitate interdisciplinary learning and to build relationships with our neighbors.

Storey House is also known for its extraordinary food; students and staff travel from across campus every other week for our extravagant brunches. Overall, the house has a very comforting feeling, as a result of the tight knit community.

It is our goal to foster a caring community and to provide a place where people can build lifelong relationships. It is our goal to foster a community that resembles our families at home and to provide a place where people can build lifelong relationships.

A Note from the Faculty Theme Affiliates, Christopher Gardner and Anne Firth Murray

Welcome to Storey House!

The upcoming academic year promises to be an exciting one for Storey House residents. Building on the example of this past year, residents will have the opportunity to develop diverse activities related to HumBio themes, including hosting faculty and outside speakers at house meals, field trips, a student initiated course, etc, limited only by your creativity (and of course, practicality!).

The Program in Human Biology also works to provide house residents with the opportunity to personally meet visiting speakers coming to campus for HumBio classes and events. We are very much looking forward to the coming year.
