The 16th Multidisciplinary Management of Cancers: A Case-based Approach

Silverado Resort and Spa - Napa, CA

This conference will present the most current information on multidisciplinary approaches in clinical oncology, and will consist of tumor board cases on breast, CNS, cutaneous malignancies, developmental therapeutics, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, hematological malignancies, lymphoma, supportive oncology & survivorship, and thoracic cancers. The tumor board cases will be presented by faculty, with discussion by a panel of surgical, radiation and medical oncologists from Stanford, UCSF, UC Davis and the practice community. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

1.     Develop multidisciplinary treatment strategies based on national clinical practice guidelines in oncology in order to improve quality of care for cancer patients. 

2.     Counsel patients on pharmacological and psychiatric strategies to manage pain.

3.     Discuss relevant clinical trials with cancer patients and refer appropriately.

4.     Appropriately refer cancer patients to palliative care.

Call for Case Submissions

Registrants are encouraged to submit a case or cases for the panels to discuss. Deadline for case submissions is Friday, December 30, 2015. The organizing committee and panel chairs will select cases.
