Current Role at Stanford


Tony has led the Knowledge Integration team at Lane Medical Library since 2008. His team maintains and continually evolves the capabilities of information systems that provide Stanford Medicine with 24/365 online access to the twenty-thousand publications in Lane's digital collection and also provides the unique search services available on the Lane website.

Application of technology to knowledge work - always learning more about how information systems and human factors coalesce (or not) to increase organizational capabilities. My experience includes knowledge sharing and collaboration initiatives at Apple Computer, Cisco, Fujitsu, NASA and FAA.

Work Experience


  • Knowledge Management Program Lead, Joint FAA-NASA Project

    Created and led a program defining, deploying and supporting intranet services supporting 800 information workers in the Joint Planning and Development Office. Led the creation of a community of practice that effectively supported use of the collaborative services across the 800 engineers and managers.

    Assumed general management of Fujitsu's WorldsAway consumer virtual world service at a critical stage in the startup business. He Led the 40 person team through intense refocusing to complete the product development and launch the online service within six months.

    Directed all marketing communications, public relations, and product management for Fujitsu's online community service, WorldsAway.

    Early in the personal computer era, he co-led the creation of AppleLink, a vanguard client-server extranet that became Apple's company-wide email service as well as the means by which Apple provided merchandising and technical support to its distributor and dealer network.
