Bio Jill Beyer, OD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Beyer graduated from Southern California College of Optometry, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree with distinction. She completed her residency at New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oregon State University.
Jill’s residency education included time spent at the Boston Foundation for Sight, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Cornea Consultants and Boston Laser Center, and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.
After residency training, Jill continued on as a clinical preceptor at the New England College of Optometry while working in private practice in Boston. She then transitioned to full time academic work at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary becoming the Director of the Contact Lens Department and an Instructor in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. -
Mark S. Blumenkranz, MD

Current Research and Scholarly Interests Clinical Interest and Research
My primary areas of interest are in the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of vitreal retinal diseases. These principally include age-related macular degeneration and other diseases of the macula, and tractional syndromes, diabetic retinopathy, and complex forms of retinal detachment. I have been interested in the development of novel technology to diagnose and treat these diseases, including new forms of imaging, laser delivery systems, other microsurgical tools, and new drugs and drug delivery systems that inhibit new blood vessel growth, scarring and intraocular inflammation. I have been actively involved in translational research in the laboratory as well as technology transfer associated with that research for a variety of new therapies that have received FDA clearance and been introduced into clinical practice over the past 30 years.

I have served on the Board of Directors of a variety of voluntary education and service organizations, including the Corporation of Brown University, multiple scientific advisory boards and various philanthropic and research organizations. -
Kun-Che Chang

Bio Kun-Che (Gary) Chang was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He received his B.S. in Life Science from National Dong Hwa University (Taiwan) in 2006 and his M.S. in Biotechnology from National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) in 2008. After graduated, he did his military service at Ministry of the Interior, Taiwan for 1 year. After worked at National Taiwan University for 1 year, he transited to University of Minnesota, Dept. of Pharmacology as a research assistant from 2010 to 2011. He joined the Toxicology PhD program at University of Colorado and chose Dr. J. Mark Petrash’s lab for his doctoral training at Dept. of Ophthalmology. He obtained his PhD degree focusing on prevention of ocular inflammation in 2015. Then he joined Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg's lab's for his post-doctoral training at Dept. of Ophthalmology, Stanford University in 2016.

Soon Keen Cheong

Current Research and Scholarly Interests We combine advanced imaging technology with cutting edge developments in engineered fluorescent biosensors to study the function of neurons and other cell types in the living eye. The purpose is to study the health and function of the retina in the living animal with greater resolution than ever before, to understand the mechanisms of retinal diseases, and to develop new therapies for treating blindness.

Diana V. Do, MD
Professor of Ophthalmology at the Stanford University Medical Center
Bio Diana V. Do, MD, is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Byers Eye Institute, Stanford University School of Medicine.
She is an internationally recognized physician who specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of retinal disorders. Dr. Do is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is an expert in the management of age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, retinal detachment, macular hole, retinal infections, and epiretinal membrane. She incorporates state-of-the-art treatment options for her patients while treating each individual with compassion and dignity. Her goal is to provide the highest level of care for each patient.
Dr. Do is a leading clinician-scientist who has authored over 150 publications in the medical literature and has contributed to over 25 book chapters. She has been the principal investigator and co-investigator on more than 45 clinical trials investigating novel treatments for retinal diseases and ocular inflammation. She has been an invited lecturer throughout the North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Furthermore, she has directed and participated in many continuing medical education courses for ophthalmologists and retina specialists throughout the United States.
Before joining Stanford, Dr. Do was Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. At Hopkins, she was Head of the Retina Fellowship Training Program. After her tenure at Johns Hopkins, she was recruited to serve as Vice Chair of Education and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. In addition, she was Program Director of the ophthalmology residency training program and Director of the Retinal Fellowship Training Program at Nebraska.
Dr. Do was educated at the University of California at Berkeley where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She received her medical degree (Alpha Omega Alpha) and was a Regents Scholar at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. After completing her medicine internship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, she pursued both her ophthalmology training and retina fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Her academic achievements have been recognized with numerous national awards including the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Clinician-Scientist Award, the Ronald Michels Fellowship Foundation Award, the Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Do has an active clinical and surgical practice while she continues to investigate novel treatments for retinal diseases. In addition, she teaches students, residents, and retina fellows at Stanford. -

We pursue this goal through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates optics, computer science, vision science, electrical engineering and other engineering disciplines.
