Summer Staff Opportunities

Summer Resident Assistants

Summer Resident Assistants (SRAs) are the backbone of the Summer Session residential staff. Supervised by the House Directors, SRAs get the benefit of a staff experience with a shorter time commitment. SRAs also have the chance to work with an exceptionally diverse student population, planning activities and building community. Summer staff receive free room and board, along with pay. Only current Stanford undergraduate students are eligible to apply.

Information and applications for Summer 2016 are now available. Applications will be due in January, and interviews will be conducted in February. Please read the SRA job description for application information.


House Directors

House Directors live in residence, supervise undergraduate staff, plan programs, and have case management responsibilities. House Directors are part of the Summer Session team and have access to networking opportunities across Stanford. To learn more, please email summersession@stanford.edu.


Summer Academic Advisors

Summer Academic Advisors support both Summer Session and Summer College students as they navigate their way through their academic experience at Stanford. Advisors will help students with questions about enrollment, academic deadlines, where to turn for support, and more. This is a non-residential position. Summer Tutor Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator supports the administration of the development of the Summer Tutor Program (STP) by supporting the undergraduate curriculum in the Summer Quarter. The Program Coordinator works with the other members of the STP leadership team to ensure the academic needs of the Stanford summer population are met. The Program Coordinator must be an exceptional administrator, ready to support the academic success of nearly 1,500 students.

Summer Tutors

The Summer Tutor Program supports Stanford’s Summer Session and Summer College in its missions to provide students with a first-rate academic experience by offering accessible and quality academic support services. Tutors design, promote, implement, and evaluate a wide range of academic support programming, in addition to offering regular workshops, group study sessions, drop-in hours, and individual tutoring. This is a non-residential position.
