The 2016 Caltrain Go Pass is now available for purchase by eligible graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at the Parking & Transportation Services (P&TS) office. The cost of the 2016 Go Pass is $190 and allows for unlimited travel on Caltrain. The 2016 Caltrain Go Pass is valid from Dec. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2016.

The 2015 pass will not be valid after Dec. 31, 2015. Riders must have the new 2016 Go Pass as of Jan. 1, 2016, or they will be subject to citation.

To be valid, the Go Pass must be picked up in person by the eligible Stanford graduate student or postdoctoral scholar and affixed to his or her own Stanford ID. The pass will not be issued to individuals bringing another person’s ID card or badge.

Please confirm that you are eligible prior to requesting the pass. Check in advance with P&TS if you are otherwise eligible but one of the following circumstances applies to you:

  • You are currently or were recently on a leave of absence. In order to be eligible, the HR database must reflect that you are an active graduate student or postdoctoral scholar.
  • Your residence address is outside typical commuting range of Stanford’s main campus. To be eligible, your address in Axess must contain an eligible ZIP Code outside Stanford property and within a reasonable daily commuting distance.

The Go Pass may not be transferred to another person. Fraudulent use or transfer of the pass will result in confiscation, substantial fines, and revocation of the transit pass and other privileges.

If you have questions, send an email to commuteclub@stanford.edu or call 650.736.9923. For commute planning assistance, visit our commute planning page.
